Molecular Addictions // The MDMA Necklace

Chapter four of Molecular Addictions is live! With caffeine, THC and nicotine already added to the collection it’s time to add a little party to the mix with the MDMA Necklace.


For this shoot I was dead set on using a public bathroom, which didn’t exactly make things easy. ‘Hi I’m a jewellery designer and I want to use your bathroom for a photo shoot. Oh, and a little heads up, it involves the implied use of illegal drugs’ generally doesn’t fly with most people! But we still made it happen and the results are so much better than I had hoped for.

Talysia did a gorgeous job on the hair, makeup and nails (seriously, check out the black and white nails!) of our model Stephanie, turning her into a totally sexy party girl. The dress Vincent picked out was fabulous and just added to the look we were going for. The images Kelly captured were insane, it took me days to pick my favorites because there were so many to choose from.


MDMA is the pure form of the drug found in Ecstasy. By increasing specific neurotransmitters in the brain, MDMA produces feelings of increased energy, euphoria and an overall sense of pure bliss. Music sounds amazing … even bad music you wouldn’t normally listen to!

The MDMA Necklace is the perfect way to show the world in your own secret way that you’re a fan of the drug without making it too obvious. It’s up to you if you want to tell people what the molecule really is.
